December 24, 2009 Fly from JFK to Rio de Janiero overnight.
December 25 After overnight flight, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of morning at leisure. In the late afternoon you will visit Sugar Loaf and enjoy the sunset and then have a welcome dinner at a local, typical BBQ. Overnight GOLDEN TULIP CONTINENTAL HOTEL D
December 26 Morning tour to Corcovado and other sights including first Synagogue and Jewish Museum. Balance of day at leisure. Evening program, Rio by Night with dinner. B D
December 27 Full day program to Tropical Islands; driving through the fishing village of Itacuruca and viewing nature at its finest. We will board a schooner for a cruise around Sepetiba Bay and there will betime for swimming and sunbathing. Return to Rio. B.
December 28 Early morning departure to Recife, transfer to hotel. Balance of day at leisure. LUCSIM HOTEL B
December 29 Full day of Jewish Heritage Tour and we will hear the history of the first Jews to arrive in the New World, with a tour to Old Recife and visit the First Synagogue of Americas, Kahal Zur. After lunch, we will visit the historic "Olinda", former home of the "New Christians" of the 17th century. B, L
December 30 A day of leisure to explore or enjoy the sun and surf. In late afternoon we will enjoy a catamaran tour and night city tour including a stop at the "Casa de Cultura", a former rison and now a cultural place with fabulous artisanal products and later have dinner at a typical restaurant. December 31 A day of leisure to prepare for a full night's New Year Eve Party, most of which will take place on the beach in front of the Hotel. Music. dancing and Entertainment. B. Late dinner 2.
January 1 Late afternoon flight. Overnight return to USA (JFK) B
